Didn't get a workout in today. But I'm still figuring out the logistics of working out with two kids. For now i'm happy with 3 workouts a week, which means i have to get one in either Friday or Saturday....somehow.

B - toast, yogurt, hot chocolate
L - French bread pizza
S - apple, orange, grape, yogurt, carrot, celery, ranch
D - BBQ chicken, baked sweet potato

Noah really wanted ice cream for some reason, so we went to arctic circle. I confess that i got a chocolate oreo shake, and ate the whole thing. I didn't eat ANY chocolate for 7 months, so I'm going to binge on it a little bit. so sue me.

Last night was really rough on me mentally/emotionally, so I'm having a rough time with getting things done today that aren't 'essential'. Yes I know that working out needs to be as essential as brushing my teeth is, but it's just not today. I have been up and moving a lot today though. The boys and I had to run to the store this morning, and then we went to the aquarium. Personally I think that carrying K while keeping track of Noah should count as a workout, but I know that it technically doesn't.

B - Egg McMuffin, Orange Juice, Hashbrowns
L - Protein shake, toast
S - something healthy, I promise
D - French bread pizza

If I somehow manage to get the house as clean as I need it to be for tomorrow's play date, I'll get a workout in tonight some time. If I'm still standing.

My ankles are a little sore from yesterday. Next time I do that much hula hoop I need to wear shoes. I think I'm going to look into getting a step and doing some serious step aerobics for a while. I did step classes in highschool and LOVED them. And I know that I can get workouts off of netflix. It's just a matter of finding one that I like, that is on the instant queue.

I did wii fit again this morning, this time focusing on lower body strength training. I did rowing squats, side leg lifts, and lunges, plus the yoga positions that are associated with them. It's not a GREAT workout, but it's at least something to get me back into the routine of working out. I think I'm going to change the time of day that I'm doing it though. I've been working out during K's morning nap, but if I do that, I feel like I'm taking time away from playing with Noah. The solution will likely be to workout during Noah's nap. That means I won't be taking a shower until like 3 or 4 pm, but I'm pretty sure that's not going to be a problem for me.

B - 2 eggs, toast
L - Mac n cheese (I have a toddler, it's going to happen a lot)
D - Chicken and baked sweet potato

Like everyone else in the world, the holiday season threw me off of my eating/workout ideals. I tried hard to eat healthy, but it just didn't happen. On top of that K's stomach decided to behave itself FINALLY so I've been able to eat corn, chocolate, cabbage, onion and all of the other things i've been restricted from for the last 7 months. And on top of all of that, Z and both little boys have been sick for 2 weeks. Excuses I know, but pretty darn good ones if you ask me!

B - Toast, protein shake, yogurt
L - Tuna salad sandwich, chips
D - Chicken enchilladas, refried beans, green salad
D - Lemon bars

I've had the wii fit for a couple of years now and never really done much with it, because it never felt like that great of a workout. I'm in bad enough shape right now though that I think it will help me in the beginning phase of all of this. Plus it's kind of fun, Noah likes watching me run around the island, and it's a good way of tracking weight loss. So I did a bunch of running, hula hoop, and some step aerobics.

After some pretty serious binging for the three days of Christmas, I feel the need to be really healthy today. I doubt I'll get an actual workout in, but I have a lot of cleaning to do, plus carrying around a 20lb baby, so I'll be burning calories regardless.

B - 2 eggs, whole wheat toast w/ butter, 3/4 of an orange (the toddler got the rest) and some water.
S - Handful of pistachio's
L - Chicken fajitas
Chamomile tea with honey
D - Taco salad

I had 3 bite sized three musketeers for 'dessert' while Z and I were playing games.

My friend Brittany has motivated me to start being more healthy. It's a really bad time of year for that. With so many parties and holiday events it's difficult to control what I'm eating, and it's already difficult to find the time to workout. So for now I'm going to do what I can. We'll start with food tracking. It's always enlightening to write down everything you eat. Lots of stuff ends up in your mouth without even realizing it.

B - Green tea, lots of water, toast w/ butter & jam
L - pasta salad, potato chips, pomegranate seeds, golden Oreo's (I have a lot of junk to get out of the house)
S - pomegranate seeds
D - We'll be going to SL with the whole big family tonight, and I'm not sure if we're eating up there or not. If so I'll keep it as healthy as I can. If not we'll be having taco salad when we get home tonight.

8/26/2010

Got K to bed "early" tonight, hopefully he stays there so I can have a child-free workout. I've been up and going all day long. Got the upstairs mostly cleaned, made a real dinner etc. And I really think the difference is the workouts lately.

B - Nature Valley granola bar
L - Grilled tuna sandwich, chicken noodle/veg soup
S - cheese stix
D - home made pizza rolls

The neighbors brought over some cookies too. They were oatmeal raisin, and I only ate two. Time to go work them off with Jillian. Honestly I'm not excited to do 30DS tonight, especially since I promised myself I'd start using weights, but I need the strength training, and this is the fastest way to do it. Some day I'll break into P90X again. I miss it, but just don't have the time to devote to it until K is sleeping better.

3/21 days to form a habit

ps. I'm so glad that Chalene taught me to smile through a workout. It really does make a difference. 30DS isn't very fun, so I have to do things to entertain myself. Like counting in various languages, turning circles while doing boring cardio moves etc.
